THE CORNISH WURZELS -  a three piece scrumpy and western band, enjoying west country music and humour. Band members are: Greg “Timber” Woods on banjo, accordion, rhythm stick and vocals; Dave “Scrumpymad” Knightley on keyboard, accordion, vocals and jungle sound effects; Martin “Tudir” Rose on tuba Wurzelphone and partial to his drop of sherry in his scrump.

HEART AND SOUL - Heart and Soul are a soul band vocals Lucy  and Med,Rhythm Guitar Chez, Bass Guitar Julian,, Saxophone Jamie, Trumpets, Nigel and Bibba Drums Laurie.

CAMBORNE YOUTH BAND -  Camborne Youth Band are the NATIONAL YOUTH CHAMPIONS OF GREAT BRITAIN, they first won the title in 2004, then again in 2005/2006/2007/and 2008  .Alan Pope is their musical director, and this is the third year that they have appeared on the Newlyn Fish Festival stage.They are in great demand all over Cornwall and beyond, and the sixty plus players that range in ages from 8 to 18 are all very committed to creating a marvelous sound. Several recordings have been made of the band and will be on sale on the day.


NEWLYN MALE CHOIR
-  The Newlyn Male Choir has always travelled, in the early days to take part in competitions both within Cornwall and further afield. For local people, and many visitors to Cornwall, it is the concerts given in and around the village that are remebered with pleasure and we all have our favourite songs


JANETTE EATHORNE
- You can hear Janette reporting from events all over Cornwall. You name it, Janette’s been there, adding her own touch of humour and local knowledge. Born in St Ives, wife, mother and grandmother, she also has time for hobbies - singing being the main one.


JILL ABBOTT
- Jill Abbott LRAM ARCM who accompanies Janette on her keyboard taught music and liturgy at Farnborough Hill for 31 years before retiring to Cornwall with her St Just born husband John. She will be playing throughout the day , if you have any special request, just ask, you never know she may play it....


RUM AND SHRUB SHANTY MEN
- Rum and Shrub Shanty Men are a group of singers who sing shanties, sea songs, and traditional folk songs, they are Alan,Ben, Bob, Colin, Harry, Jules, Nigel, and Roger, they are equally at home on  a Concert stage, boat in the harbour, quay side, or in a bar, they have been singing together for many years, and have made recordings of their music.
