Join The Fishermen’s Mission and friends for a great night in the marquee on Porthleven Harbour Head Saturday evening, 18 March from 4pm for a rare opportunity to bid on a splinter of local storm history.

In his inimitable style auctioneer David Lay will preside over the sale of 180 works of art created on the wooden baulks damaged in the Porthleven storm of 2014.  Funds raised will go to the Fishermen’s Mission to aid their work in support of fishermen and their families.

Local and nationally renowned artists, craftsmen and celebrities such as Dame Judi Dench, poet Dame Carol Ann Duffy, chef Nathan Outlaw and our very own Newlyn lass, Olympian Helen Glover have gathered together to produce a varied collection of pieces each of which will be accompanied by a certificate of authenticity, signed by Porthleven Harbourmaster.

The works and artist bios are featured daily now on @porthlevenbaulkauction on facebook.

The auction catalogue is also available online at Porthleven Baulk Auction Catalogue on David Lay’s website.  Remote bidders are advised to register in advance for the live webcast auction or you can register in person on the day of the Auction from 3pm onwards.
