    Few have seen these heavy boats being rowed, but rowed they were before the days of engines and some still do. So watch them and give them a cheer as the crews heave on their heavy sweeps...

  • Fish Auction

    Robin Turner, fish auctioneer extraordinaire, will be taking bids in the fish market and all the proceeds of the auction will to to the Fishermen's Mission. Do not miss!

  • Music for your ears

    With two music stages and a Busker’s Corner hosted by Tros and Treys, there will be one of the biggest line-ups of local bands and performers that you’ll find anywhere on one day in Cornwall!

  • Racing In the harbour

    Watch Newlyn Harbour fill up with activity with events raging from jet ski to safety demonstrations performed by the RLNI

  • Follow the Fishy Trail

    Kids (and adults, of course) can pick up a A4 with photos of fish, search them out amongst the display in the fish market, and when hey have identified them all go a claim a lovely prize!

  • Newlyn Archive

    Meet story teller and Fisherwoman extraordinaire Liz Harman and other members of the team for a journey through local history.

August Bank Holiday Monday sees the annual Cornish celebration of the sea, fishing and seafood at the 22nd Newlyn Fish Festival, where you will find more fish than you can shake a mermaid’s tail at!

The Newlyn Fish Festival is organised in aid of the Royal National Mission to Deep Sea Fishermen which provides care, compassion and support to working, retired and disabled fishermen and their families.
